LE COURS DE FRANÇAIS : MERCREDI 17 SEPTEMBRE 2014.

Hello,

A welcome back to the last year students, and a welcome to the new students.

Wednesday we made a "Fiche de renseignements" d’élève '/student information document, each student wrote on his card his personal info, and we'll put a picture on it next week.
Then we reviewed the days, months, numbers (1-100), the verbs " ÊTRE"/ , "AVOIR".

Homework for Wednesday, September 24 : know by heart the verbs  ÊTRE et AVOIR, study the list of the animals and learn the names of those animals (Do what you can). Go to the link Livres pour enfants : santacruzpl, and read : 'Un grand-papa en or", we'll discuss the story in class.

LE COURS DE FRANCAIS : MERCREDI 4 JUIN 2014.


 I wish you all an excellent summer !

We had our last French class of 2013/14 school year, we finished  the exercises 4A, 4B, and 4C p.41 Unité 10  of Alex et Zoé  Cahier.
We had our end of the year party, the children performed a song, read a poem, and told "devinettes/riddles", and we all ate colorful fruits, and delicious cup cakes.

LE COURS DE FRANCAIS : MERCREDI 28 MAI 2014.





WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4 WILL BE OUR LAST FRENCH CLASS FOR 2013/14, WE'LL HAVE OUR ANNUAL END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR PARTY, PARENTS PLEASE ARRIVE, IF POSSIBLE,  A LITTLE EARLIER AS THE CHILDREN WILL START THEIR PERFORMANCE AT 4:45 PM, THANK YOU, AND SEE YOU NEXT WEEK.


Wednesday we reviewed  the homework, then did the exercise 2B p.39 of Alex et Zoé 3 Cahier. We finished  Unité 10   Leçon3,4 p. 46, 47 of Alex et Zoé 3 Méthode, Unité 10 was our last lesson of Alex et Zoé 3 for this year. Afterward we did the exercise  3B p.40 of Alex et Zoé 3 Cahier.
The last 10 minutes of the class we played (The 3 groups) "Le pendu/The hangman", the children really love to play this game.

Homework for Wednesday, June 4: do exercise 3A p. 40 Alex et Zoé 3 Cahier, review "Le passé composé" of the verbs "du 1er groupe" action verbs like "manger, jouer, chercher....", practice "Hé ! La vieille dame", and don't forget "Les devinettes".

LE COURS DE FRANCAIS : MERCREDI 21 MAI 2014

The school year is almost over with, we only have two more classes before you all go enjoy the summer break.
Wednesday we did the following exercises Unité 9 of Alex et Zoé 3 Cahier d’activités : leçon 2  2A, 2B p. 35, leçon 3  3A, 3B p. 36, leçon 4  4A, 4B, 4C p.37. We put in practice what we've learned last week, especially "Qu'est que tu veux être plus tard ?"/ What do you want to be later ? (When you grow up)
"Plus tard je veux  être...peintre...."/Later I want to be... a painter.... - Pourquoi ?/Why ? - Parce que j'aime peindre et dessiner/because I like to paint and to draw, and so on.
Then we pursued with a new Unité , we worked on  Unité 10,  leçon 1 and 2 of Alex et Zoé 3 Méthode p. 44, 45. We introduce the past tense in the conversation,  "Hier j'ai mangé des frites.."/Yesterday I ate French fries....This past tense is : Le passé composé, we use the verb AVOIR + a verb (we used action verbs like manger, danser...) that ends in " é " : J'ai mangé, tu as mangé, il/elle a mangé, nous avons  mangé, vous avez mangé, ils/elles ont mangé.
We also reviewed the different moment of the day : matin/morning, midi/noon,  après-midi/afternoon, soir/evening, nuit/night.
The last 10 minutes we played a game "Le jeu de l'oie" a summery of Unité 9.


Homework for Wednesday, May 28: do exercises 1A, 1B p. 38, and 2A p.39 of Alex et Zoé 3 Cahier d’activités, also read and try to be comfortable reading the "Devinettes/Jokes" assigned to you (In the binder).

LE COURS DE FRANCAIS : MERCREDI 7 MAI 2014.


                                                                       

The class started with our weekly correction/review of the homework, then we reviewed, yes again, the verbs ETRE/AVOIR, the students had a quiz, and they did extremely well.
We started  Unité 9  Leçon 1 of Alex et Zoé 3 Méthode p. 38, the lesson incorporated information on places or people, and  what we want to be later.....(occupation, trade).

Next we studied "Je lis une histoire à suivre" Violette (3), comprehension of the text and answering the questions about the story.
The last 10 minutes of the class, we all rehearsed a song  "HE ! LA VIEILLE DAME.

Homework for Wednesday, May 14: Do exercices A1, B1 of Alex et Zoé 3  Cahier p. 34, and rehearse the song, look up, or write down the words you don't know for next class.

LE COURS DE FRANCAIS : MERCREDI 30 AVRIL 2014.









This week we started the French class with the correction of the homework, I returned the graded quizzes (On s'entraîne pour le DELF Unités 1 à 5 , and Test Unités 1 à 4) the students did remarkably well, I was very pleased with them, BRAVO LES ENFANTS !
 Then we studied : L'adjectif interrogatif : quel....., quelle...., quels....., quelles...?  Alex et Zoé 3 Cahier d'activité p. 31, 2B, 3B, as well as Les ordinaux : le premier (la première), le  (la) deuxième, le (la) troisième, etc.... Alex et Zoé 3  Cahier d'activité p. 32  3B, we closed  Unité 8 with the execises  4A, 4B, 4C of Alex et Zoé 3  Cahier d'activité p. 33.
We reviewed the verbs ETRE and AVOIR.
 The last 10 minutes, we played a game:   LE JEU DE L'OIE DU TOUR DE FRANCE.

Homework for Wednesday, May 7: Review the verbs ETRE (to be) AVOIR (to have), we'll have a little quizz, also I would like you next week, to tell me in a couple of sentences how your week was (use the vocabulary we already know, use the verbs ETRE et AVOIR and other verbs like MANGER, JOUER, AIMER, FAIRE....

LE COURS DE FRANCAIS : MERCREDI 23 AVRIL 2014





The class started with a little test of comprehension resuming the "Unités 4 à 6", the test consisted of oral and written parts.
Afterward, we reviewed some verbs in the indicative present , plus the verb "ALLER"/to go, we also reviewed the verbs ETRE, AVOIR supported by some exercises (never enough to review).
We studied  "Unités 8, Leçons 2, 3,4 p. 35,36,37 of Alex et Zoé 3  Méthode, by using the map of France p. 56,57 to help us.


 Homework for Wednesday, April 30 : do exercises 2A p. 31,  of Alex et Zoé 3 Cahier d’activités, as well as "LE PRESENT DE L"INDICATIF 1er GROUPE"  only part 1 (2 pages in the binder), and LE VERBE AVOIR AU PRESENT DE L'INDICATIF (Parts 1,2,3),  LE VERBE ETRE AU PRESENT DE L'INDICATIF (Parts 1,2) both pages are in the binder.
